Marie Gonzalez
Secretary
Marie has spent the past 18 years of her life exploring the body’s ability to heal naturally; from polycystic ovaries to Grave’s Disease (hyperthyroidism) to physical and emotional trauma to soft tissue injuries and just about everything in between. Steve Liu of HanLing Acupuncture was the first to teach and show her how powerful the body is. His treatments and teachings taught her how to completely heal Polycystic Ovaries and Grave’s Disease 100% naturally through acupuncture, herbs, and lifestyle changes (nutrition, movement, community). Western Medical doctors told her she would be infertile by the time she was 24 (she now has 5 children) and that she was “choosing to die” by not taking prescription drugs for her hyperthyroidism. She could heal her body thanks to Steve’s treatments, teachings, and her ability to implement them!
Her curiosity about what else the body could do with the help of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and nutrition grew after these ailments had been cured. She began sharing her story with others, encouraging them to seek out natural remedies, improve the quality of their food and lifestyle, and trust in their body’s innate ability to heal itself. She earned the following degrees and certificates: Bachelor of Science in Business in 2007, Master’s in Business Administration in 2013, Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell in 2015, Integrative Nutrition Coaching certificate in 2018, and 200-hour Yoga Teacher and Somatic Leadership in 2024. Her passion for holistic healing has grown and expanded over the years. She is excited to bring this knowledge and Steve’s Photobiomodulation and Laser Acupuncture therapies to help more acupuncturists heal their patients and themselves.
